Drive Modes
Your Mustang Mach-E lets you tailor your driving experience to your preferred style. Three different Drive Modes, Active, Whisper, and Untamed, alter engine sounds, ambient lighting, and even the responsiveness of your electric SUV to perfectly match your mood.
One Pedal Drive
Mustang Mach-E features an advanced One Pedal Drive system. Take your foot off the power, and the car automatically and smoothly slows itself down. Energy usually lost through deceleration is also recaptured and used to extend your battery range. The system means you can drive using the One Pedal most of the time. You should only need to use the brake pedal if you need to brake more suddenly.
Driver Profile and Personalisation
When you pair your smartphone with FordPass, your Mustang Mach-E adjust various settings to your pre-selected preferences. This includes adjusting the seats and mirrors, tuning in to your favourite radio station, and even setting the ambient lighting and instrument panel to the way you like it. You can also create your own unique avatar for a more personal touch.
Connectivity - Sync 4A
Ford SYNC 4A is a cloud-connected in-car communication and entertainment system. Cloud connectivity enables advanced route planning and conversational voice recognition. And with wireless smartphone integration, electric vehicle charging management, an intuitive 15.5” touchscreen, plus a whole lot more, you’ll experience a new world of connectivity through your car.
A 15.5” touchscreen with split-screen capability, allows you to display and manage different features simultaneously. SYNC 4A has twice the power and processing speed of the previous generation. The system can learn your preferences, automatically adapt what is displayed, and make helpful suggestions as you travel.
SYNC 4A Navigation is continuously evolving to suit your needs. in-car map data is updated via the cloud. Cloud-based connectivity allows for real-time traffic information, for more advanced route planning; plus access to a host of additional information, such as the latest weather updates, and the most convenient public charging locations along your route based on your current charge status and estimated driving range.
FordPass Phone App
Connect your Mach-E to the FordPass app on your smartphone, to unlock even more of its smart side. You can use your phone to locate your car, remotely lock or unlock it, monitor tyre pressure and get vehicle health alerts. You can plan journeys with your phone, then share destinations with your vehicle and have charging automatically plotted along the route, if you’ll need it. And, specifically for the Mach-E, the ‘Intelligent Range’ feature displays charge levels, remaining driving distance, and convenient public charging locations en route.

Advanced electric dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) raises the game. An electric motor on the front and rear axle enhances performance and helps you tackle more challenging driving conditions
Battery Range
The Mustang Mach-E is available with two battery options which are both available in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive versions. The Standard Range (75 kWh) Mach-E battery is capable of up to 279 miles of all-electric driving range. While the Extended Range (99 kWh) battery can deliver up to 379 miles on a single charge.
Trip Planner
The Electric Vehicle (EV) Trip Planner gives you total confidence on the road. Set your destination, and the system will tailor a route based on your battery level and available public charging stations. You can plan your route in advance too. Simply set your destination and find charging points with the FordPass app, then send the route straight to the SYNC 4A system in your vehicle.
Charging At Home
Charging your Mustang Mach-E at home is as straightforward as charging your smartphone. Simply plug into a conventional wall socket using the Ford Universal Charge Cable that’s supplied with your vehicle.
The Ford Connected Wallbox is an optional home charging point and your fastest home charging option. It can recharge over 20 miles of range every hour, and will complete a full charge overnight. We can help to arrange the installation of a Ford Connected Wallbox through our specialist installer British Gas.
You may even be eligible for a government grant for your Wallbox installation.
Home Socket Charging
The supplied Ford Universal Charge Cable can also be plugged into a high-power socket, for up to 20 miles of range every hour. You can also use a normal home socket. Charging is slower, about 8 miles of range per hour, but useful for when you’re away visiting friends without any charging facility.
Ionity Charging Network
The IONITY network delivers the fastest method of charge. The high-power DC chargers (150 kW) can deliver around 73 miles in 10 minutes. Ideal for brief motorway rest stops, where you can swiftly top-up your range while grabbing a quick coffee or bite to eat.
Public Charging Points
Public charging points†† are great for when you’re out and about and many offer faster charging than when you’re at home. AC Public charge points deliver 10-80% charge in 7.2 hours. Whereas the DC chargers (50kW) can give 10-80% charge in 90 minutes. Perfect when you need to recharge on the go.

Ford is offering Mustang Mach-E customers an optional Ford Connected Wallbox to make charging from home faster, smarter and more convenient – our sales teams can provide more information. Mustang Mach-E also has DC high-power charging capability which means you’ll be able to recharge up to 73 miles of range in just 10† minutes at a high power charging station

Connect your Mustang Mach-E to the FordPass App on your smart phone and unlock even more of its smart side. Enjoy access to the BlueOval™ Charging Network which gives Mustang Mach-E customers easy access to the fast-growing network of public charging stations. With the FordPass App on your mobile device you can monitor your vehicles charge and locate, navigate to and pay for charging at public stations.
What affects range?
There are three main factors that can affect the driving range of the Mustang Mach-E:
Heavy acceleration and high speeds
· In any type of vehicle, accelerating fast will use more power and reduce range. This applies to Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EV).
· Likewise, faster speeds create exponentially more wind and road resistance, impacting on range.
Climate and temperature
· Extreme heat or cold temperatures outside have the potential to affect battery range, directly. All electric vehicles (EV’s) have less energy when in cold temperatures compared to warm temperatures due to battery cell chemistry.
· Heating and cooling the inside of the vehicle for passenger comfort also has an impact.
Regenerative braking
· Regenerative braking can capture and reuse more than 90% of the braking energy improving the efficiency of the battery and extending the battery range
• Pre-condition the vehicle. Set the departure time to warm the cabin and the battery while the vehicle is still plugged in. Use the FordPass App or the Mustang Mach-E’s touchscreen.
• If possible, always keep the Electric Vehicle plugged in whenever it is parked. In cold weather, even trickle charging will help the vehicle to keep the temperature of its battery optimised.
• Avoid using high-power, fast charging (DC) after short driving distances. The battery needs time to heat up, under normal driving conditions, to be able to accept high charge power. Not giving your battery time to condition will impact charging performance.
• Ensure tyres are at the correct pressure. Under inflated tyres can affect the rolling road resistance and therefore increase drag, impacting on energy consumption. The wrong pressure will also affect the tyres’ grip on snowy and icy roads. Winter tyres are recommended where necessary.
• Set the climate control to create a comfortable but moderate ambient temperature. It is more efficient to maintain a consistent temperature than it is to keep turning climate control on and off, heating up the cabin before letting it cool down again.
• Rather than use heating and ventilation to warm up the whole cabin, use the heated seats and steering wheel as primary local heat sources for the passengers. These consume far less energy.
